If there were awards for the most surprising team, the youngest squad, and the most prolific scorers of the 2025 LSFA Federation Cup, Seamoriow FC would have swept them all. They left an unforgettable mark on the tournament in their first year ever as a participant.

When the draw revealed that Seamoriow FC had registered two teams, many doubted their chances. Some even joked, “How can an academy register two teams for the FA Cup? They’ll be out after one match—owo ti jona!” (Meaning: Their registration money would go to waste after early exits.).

But Seamoriow had other plans.

They defied expectations and took the competition by storm. Even though their journey ended in a hard-fought 2-1 loss against the defending champions Ikorodu City in the semifinals, their stats tell a story of dominance:

✅ 7 matches played
✅ 21 goals scored
✅ Only 4 goals conceded
✅ 5 clean sheets

While their social media claimed controversial officiating played a role in their exit, the team held their heads high, proud of what they had achieved.

They may not have lifted the LSFA Federation Cup, but to Awijare News, Seamoriow FC are the true team of the tournament—the champions without the trophy.
